This is a story from a reader about a Lanvin dress she found for $5.00 at the bottom of page are the 3 images of the dress:
WOW!!! What an INCREDIBLE FIND….This AUTHENTIC WOOL VINTAGE LANVIN MAXI DRESS … OOZING with SO MUCH PANACHE and SIZZLE!
Here is another story from my friend up North in Canada with his incredible finds today:
Hi Daniel, just back back from the ole Value Village and a very nice score indeed! A couple of Canali shirts …in my size, like new, and for only $5.99 each. They were right beside each other on the rack and both of them still had the small dry cleaner tag on them. I’ll bet that the same person gave them both up. Don’t see many Canali shirts pop up around here, but guess it was my lucky day! You know all about that don’t you LOL.

Here are 2 emails from my reader Jim up in Canada and and his thrift store experience :
1.) Hi Daniel, you asked me to drop you a line regarding one of my great finds. Well today I will tell you about the Armani shirt I recently found at the local Value Village. I found it after about 30 seconds of looking in the men’s shirts. It was marked $7.99 CDN and while looking it over I discovered the original store price tag attached to the inside of the shirt. It is from a high end Canadian menswear store “Harry Rosen” and it said $275 CDN. Score!! The shirt is kind of a bronze color and has a metallic sheen to it. Very nice indeed. Gotta love the Giorgio! Jim
2.) Hi Daniel, here are the photos of the Armani shirt and tags.
Also a couple of the brand new Zanella shirt I just picked up this afternoon from the Salvation Army Thrift store. New with fold marks and the store tags still attached by a little string around one of the buttons!! Nice slate grey color and sooo soft. And only $9.99 (what a deal).
Take care and keep the blog going strong! Your witty comments are great. Jim

nice story Jim.
Good to see Danial does not have monopoly on thrifting
One day I was cruising through Value Village and found
a wonderful Valentino wool jacket. I placed it in my buggy with several other finds and when I checked out, the
Valentino was gone!!!!! I guess another shopper spotted it in my basket!!!!!
One of the funniest things I heard a shopper say to a salesperson in Goodwill was, “Do you have this in a Medium?”
That is to funny I can’t stop laughing at that one. Please keep in touch with me.
Well I guess you should be flattered by that. I don’t like it when people have such lack in thought you know they could have found another jacket. That’s just crazy and rude. Sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the jacket. Thanks for following my blog.
At a single thright store, I found eight identically sized Turnbull & Asser shirts, for $4 each. I took them home and reenacted this scene from the film version of The Great Gatsby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ080mFmYu8 . It’s like T&A porn, yes?
That’s so fantastic 8 Turnbull & Asser shirts that’s amazing. Good find, very good find. Those are the best shirts out there and if they fit you then keep them. Thanks for sharing and I love that video.

This is sin-ful thrifting behavoir! I am so sorry to hear about this experience, but if you believe in karma, can you only imagine what was lurking in the pockets of the jacket that was snatched
Happy Thrifting!!!
