Linen is the word for today: Masaschoni & Lafayette 148 linen that is…

Both of these luxury brands create distinctive modern looks for the woman that wants and craves her STYLISH wardrobe.  Let me start with Magaschoni and tell you that they introduced their 1st organic, eco-conscious pieces to a line in 2008.  They use primarily pure and natural yarns such as silk, cotton, wool & cashmere, rarely using synthetic fibers.  They also use low-impact and eco friendly dyes.  So I LOVE this brand just because going green in my book is STYLISH.  Lafayette 148 is all about being chic and modern with their luxurious fabrics they use to define each collection.  Well the brand has everything to do with the talent of Edward Wilkerson the creative force behind the brand.  Both of these tops are linen and both came out of the same thrift store in pristine condition which goes to show you luxury is out there waiting for you …..  Wait no father head to Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Vintage Yves Saint Laurent silk blouse with Giorgio Armani slacks…

This vintage cheetah print YSL silk blouse is just as STYLISH as the day it was created by YSL if not better.  The thing I love about luxury vintage is that it is timeless and this cheetah print silk blouse is just that so it makes for a good investment.  Founded in 1961, YSL is 1 of the great fashion names of all times.  The 1st couture house to introduce the concept of luxury pret-a-porter in a 1966 collection called “Rive Gauche”, YSL revolutionized the social cultural landscape.  Today creative director is Stefano Pilati.  My heart just sank when I saw the label, I was like a kid in a candy store except I’m a kid in a thrift store!  Carrying this lovely piece of art in my cart I knew I needed a pair of slacks that would just POP and viola here is a pair of Giorgio Armani black light weight wool that ties this YSL blouse up in a nice shiny bow.  So to recap this posting is about YSL & Armani and just typing those names give me the chill.  Chill is good…  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter… toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!!!

2 very STYLISH slacks: Piazza Sempione & Rachel Roy….

I always get excited when I find a new designer to chit chat about and Rachel Roy has all my attention on this posting.  I’m always excited when I find a pair of Piazza Sempione slacks because that’s one of my favorite Italian brands, I mean this label knows everything about tailoring.  What I’m eager to discuss is Rachel Roy since it’s my first time in the rodeo with this girl let me tell you that this red carpet regular, Californian designer is her own best advertisement.  Wife of music mogul Damon Dash, Roy is always impeccably turned out in her elegant signature designs.  After cutting her cloth as head designer of Rocawear, Roy started her eponymous line in 2005.  Refined and sophisticated is what this label is known for.  I guess if you need an extra pair of black slacks wouldn’t it be fitting for a Queen to own these Piazza Sempione & Rachel Roy slacks???  I’m thinking future Queen – Kate Middleton would have to agree with me on this one… Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter… toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

A little white dress shirt by Zegna for me never hurt anyone….

Every now and then I like to treat myself to some luxury and who could blame me for wanting this white Z Zegna shirt?  When I spotted this beauty waiting for me to pick it up at my favorite thrift store I said to myself “you know Daniel you can always use a nice white shirt” and I was right.  Alessandro Sartori is the designer for the Z Zegna label and has designed for this brand since 2002.  The Z Zegna is for a younger, fashion-conscious guy with a strong mentality, he likes his own STYLE, but he’s looking for a certain kind of design.  Zegna is perhaps more traditional yet luxurious by all standards.  I have somewhere between 15-20 Zegna long sleeve shirts in my closet and each one is my favorite!  What can I say but I love my Italians!!!   Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter… toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

The LBD gets a makeover by David Meister…

This size 6 David Meister sassy spotty black dress with ruching on side is over the top hotness.  In my humble opinion I believe that if your designs are sold in Bergdorf Goodman then you’ve  peeked the stratosphere and beyond!  Bergdorf Goodman just sounds R$CH and I know David Meister is sold in Neiman Marcus as well but to me Bergdorf Goodman is the ultimate place a designer wants to showcase their talent.  This is one hot chic dress that will take everyone hostage and could you blame it?  If money were no object and I could put any shoe with this David Meister dress I would have to go with these pearl trim suede booties by Valentino…. now doesn’t the entire outfit just smell R$CH????  Stop by my social media driven boutique Doubletake in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter…toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Nothing says chic like Kay Unger & Love Moschino….

It’s the exact feeling you get when you’re riding in a Maserati going 120mph down the freeway that I get when I score something as lovely as this Kay Unger & Love Moschino.  It’s an adrenaline rush and a rush is a rush no matter how you experience it.  I love me some Kay Unger New York and this sexy little top with all its shine and piazza is so lovable….  Cupid has hit the bulls eye when I scored these Love Moschino gray slacks and paired it with Kay Unger.  Would you have thought you could find these lovely luxury items in a thrift store?  Think again darling, think again….  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter- toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Paisley Robert Graham blouse with floral Kenzo made in Italy black skirt….

If there’s 1 thing I truly love it’s mixing patterns so knowing that you can see why I put this Robert Graham paisley blouse with this floral stitched black Kenzo skirt together.  It’s GORGEOUS together and looks so super chic I can’t stand it.  Yes I walked right out of a thrift store carrying both of these sleek items with a complete smile on my face.  The Robert Graham credo: Knowledge Wisdom Truth those 3 words conjure different and unique meanings to each individual who reads them.  I’ve always loved RG and the detailing attached to everything his name goes on.  The black stitched Kenzo skirt is smoking.  Antonio Marras the creative director for Kenzo has been replaced by Opening Ceremony founders Carol Lim & Humberto Leon. LVMH is the Paris based luxury company that owns Kenzo and in the near future you will see this brand skyrocket because if there is one thing we know for sure is that LVMH doesn’t believe in wasting $$$$ or talent….  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and toodles for now.   Daniel your luxury curator!

Silk pink sexy Cynthia Steffe top with a classic black skirt by Maria Bianca Nero ….

This has absolutely nothing to do with this posting but today I spotted 2 fake Gucci tops and each time I spot a fake I ask myself “why”??  Why would anyone go through all the trouble of copying fakes of Gucci, Hermes, Prada and many other designers?  I mean not only trouble but run the risk of going to prison??  I think getting a real job would be more beneficial to this planet as opposed to knocking off artist / designers…. people are strange, I say that everyday!!!  Ok on this posting I pulled out from the same thrift store within minutes of each other a complete and STYLISH outfit I must say.  Look at this pink silk top by Cynthia Steffe in pristine condition and just as pink as a mouse’s ear and this black Maria Bianca Nero classic skirt is on fire.   Someone call 911!   I love pulling pieces together from thrift stores and arranging them into ensembles showing you guys everyday that you too can do this and dress sleek.  Sleek is the new black haven’t you heard?  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Narciso Rodriguez white top made in Italy and a silk cream skirt by Stella made in Italy….

Ok I haven’t the foggiest idea who in the hell Stella CDC made in Italy is, to be honest with you when I saw the word Stella I immediately thought of Stella McCartney but that isn’t her label unfortunately.  The thing that jazzed me up about this Stella cdc skirt was the fact that it was made in Italy so I always assume the best when I see that on any label, it’s the tag hag in me that rears it’s head.  What I do love about this outfit is the white Narciso Rodriguez top also made in Italy so drink up that cappuccino.  I have never found any item in a thrift store by Narciso Rodrigues until this lovely top.  Narciso Rodriguez put himself firmly on the fashion map in 1996 when he designed a bias cut wedding dress for Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.  A year later he launched his signature collection, and went on to win numerous awards, including the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year-twice !!  This is a sporty yet sophisticated ensemble here and one that doesn’t mince words, I like that in an outfit.  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter…toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Black Halo silk dress…

I can no longer go all Madonna on you and sing “Like a Virgin” when it comes to Black Halo because this is my first piece I’ve scored from a thrift store.  That’s right I’ve long to talk about this brand and talking about this brand when you find a silk sassy dress makes my life so easy.  Black Halo is designed to summon natural inner beauty and confidence that is both liberating and empowering to women when worn or at least that’s what they say on their website!!!!  Black Halo is designed by Laurel Berman based in Los Angeles and she has elevated this brand to a level in contemporary fashion that can be considered iconic.  Berman created a brand that is now synonymous with beauty and modern day STYLE.   This is a simple sassy dress that has the making of a very memorable evening wouldn’t you say???  It’s to bad I couldn’t have found these wedge peep toe McQueen heels in the the thrift store to match this dress up STYLISHLY….  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter… toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Oscar de la Renta 2 piece suit……

If I were to tell you that I paid $3.50 for this 2 piece skirt & jacket Oscar de la Renta suit would you believe me???  Oh the joys of thrifting and shopping environmentally friendly is so STYLISH isn’t it?  If I had to put my hand on the bible (V Magazine) and swear I could easily do so….  In fact not only is the 2 piece suit in mint condition but the white cotton with spandex blouse with it is brand new still with tags ABS by Allen Schwartz.  Who doesn’t love finding Oscar de la Renta inside a thrift store especially when it’s in this condition?  His fashion career spans over 4 decades, making New York based Oscar de la Renta one of the most respected designer of our day.  The first American to design for a French house (Balmain in 1993), he apprenticed with Balenciaga, worked at Lanvin and garnered A-list fans from Jacqueline Kennedy to Sarah Jessica Parker….  I wonder if Jackie O or SJP ever paid $3.50 for a Oscar de la Renta???  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook & follow me on Twitter…toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Satin sheen Halston blouse with khaki Burberry tiny skirt…

Would you think that you could waltz into a thrift store and put together this ensemble?  Well I hope you said yes darling because that’s where these lovely items came from.   Now if I waltzed into a thrift store and yanked out a satin sheen Halston cream blouse and then gobbled up this khaki Burberry skirt, tiny but still a skirt, I’m thinking you can too.  I know if I can do this then you can too and that’s the pleasure I get out of thrifting, it’s like treasure hunting only less dangerous!!!  I love this cream Halston blouse but I love anything Halston and I hate to hear that everyone has left Halston now with Harvey Weinstein – Sarah Jessica Parker to their designer Marios Schwab everyone has jumped ship.  I wish that Tom Ford (my hero) would come to the rescue and save Halston like how I saved this blouse!!!  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter…toodles for now.   Daniel your luxury curator!

1 sassy Cynthia Steffe LBD on the way…..

I think Shaun Kearney ,who is creative director for Cynthia Steffeis absolutely brilliant that’s what I think!  Shaun Kearney is a Brit living in New York City that loves to mix and match patterns, prints and fabrics and I think that’s so STYLISH in a designer.  I know people always think it must be easy to do that, you know to mix and match fabrics, prints and patterns but that’s so not true.  It take the trained eye of a perfectionist to nail that door shut and that’s exactly what Shaun Kearney has, a trained eye.  A true artist at heart knows the color palette and what color compliments each other and even though this is your simple LBD it still take that trained eye to drape a dress the way this dress drapes.  It’s not just about mixing and matching but it’s about draping and blending and when I found this lonely LBD in a thrift store well by GODS I just had to rescue it after all it’s a Cynthia Steffe !!  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter… toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Louis Feraud top with Versace skirt…

Each of these items were pillaged out from 2 different thrift stores and I couldn’t have paired them up any better.  Both are nylon and both are sporty and active, so you can be STYLISH and sporty all at once.  The navy top by Louis Feraud is just your classic top and the link I picked for Louis Feraud will show you what his vintage pieces sell for so the next time your thrifting be sure you keep an eye for anything vintage by Feraud.  The navy Versace Intensive is Versace’s active line that produces swimwear, underwear, sports bras blah blah blah.  Versace designs and creates everything under the sun, they even do interiors of private jets!!!  I know nice right??  So the next time you pull a Olivia Newton John and get all Physical on me do it in STYLE..  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta and please friend me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter.  Daniel your luxury curator!
