Allen Schwartz tweed jacket with Laundry by Shelle Segal black slacks..

This tweed jacket by Allen Schwartz is off the chart STYLISH with the zipper front pockets…. If you could only have 1 jacket in your closet, not counting Chanel, it would so have to be this tweed Allen Schwartz jacket.  This jacket just reeks of class and sophistication and the plus side of this is that the design is timeless.  I found these sleek black wool slacks by Laundry by Shelli Segal and wanted to unite them with the tweed jacket.  A little bit of STYLE and a little bit of sleek goes a very long ways… Next time your in Atlanta stop by doubletake boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook.  Please enjoy and share my YouTube channel with friends…  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Black Max Mara top with black striped Gabriele Strehle skirt…

Isn’t finding luxury brands like Max Mara & Gabriele Strehle inside a thrift store, in pristine condition, like winning the Golden Globe or Oscar?  That’s really a tough call because both awards are so important, just like both of these luxury brands so I’ll have to say both!  This black stretch Max Mara top is really shifting into high speed here because it looks great with this striped skirt but it also would looks STYLISH with your skinny jeans or your Gucci mini skirt!  For now this gorgeous striped Gabriele Strehle skirt is perfection to the 10th degree and compliments this skirt swimmingly.    The work of Strehle is a reflection of her intense engagement in life as she experiences it.  She is passionately devoted to uncompromising quality both in terms of material and idea.  With the right type of heel with this ensemble you’re really looking at one heafty speeding ticket…  Stop by doubletake the next time you are in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Sonia Ryliel vintage sweater wrap that has STYLE written all over it…

Taking showers in under 5 minutes & turning off your water faucet while brushing your teeth or shaving is what I consider STYLISH and of course anything designed by Sonia Rykiel!  This is my second item I found inside a thrift store, the first was a 2 piece pink velvet top with skirt but had mold all over it and stunk like crazy so I had to pass on it and you should have seen me, it was the longest goodbye in recorded history…  I waited like the good thrifter I am and the GODS provided me another of Sonia Rykiel’s genius creations.  This gray / black wool sweater wrap by Rykiel is a classic piece.  In 1968, Sonia Rykiel founded her label and opened a boutique in Paris.  It is the story of a designer who, starting in 1962, created knitwear pieces for the boutique Laura and, in unraveling her own desires, made the pullover into the signature for her own STYLE.  Anointed “Queen of Knits” by WWD in 1970, Rykiel quickly went on to invent inside-out stitching, “hemless” and “no lining” dressing that reflecte4d her new fashion philosophy.  Today Sonia Rykiel is the only French group in the fashion and luxury world to remain family owned and 100% independent.  Finding a stunning vintage piece such as this sweater wrap is like finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  Please stop by doubletake boutique when in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook.  Be sure to share my YouTube channel with friends and loved ones too.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Magaschoni blouse with Womyn cargo slacks and this timeless Tahari jacket makes for one stunning photo opt.

When I found this white striped blouse by Magaschoni with a spot on the front did you think that would deter me from snatching it???   Wrong….  There isn’t one stain that Carbona can’t get out and this light coffee stain was out in an instant, just as soon as I dipped it into the Carbona it was out of there.  Next time you are grocery shopping walk down the cleaning aisle and grab a couple of these bottles because I will swear on my big fat cats Jenny’s life that this product works.  I am a huge fan of Magaschoni so a little stain wasn’t going to make me pass on this golden opportunity… Magaschoni’s philosophy is to create distinctive looks for the modern, self confident woman who craves functionality in a STYLISH wardrobe.  I’m loving that philosophy!  Loving these Womyn cargo slacks too because they are modern in design and who doesn’t want to feel modern?  To give this outfit a polished look I grabbed this classic black Tahari jacket and the entire ensemble came alive and started singing to me… the birds started chirping, the clouds blew away & traffic came to a screeching halt… Without imagination you might as well just stay in bed all day…. Golden Laundry by Shelli Segal top with classic Jaeger houndstooth skirt….

I swear you could be 19 or 99 years old and still shake it up with this ensemble because true classic STYLE never goes out of STYLE and is ageless.  With the right clutch and heels the woman wearing this outfit could make a deafening statement and not even have to open her mouth doing so.  I love that…  This top is simple and stretchy and I mean stretchy which is fabulous especially with the gold tread running through it.  A little sparkle never hurt anyone now did it?  Before I forget to mention this top is by Laundry by Shelli Segal which again always seem to design timeless creations.  The black / white houndstooth silk print is by Jaeger another one of my favorite English brands.  I think these YSL gold wedge platform heels elevate this look so high into the stratosphere I’m getting a nose bleed…..  Don’t be afraid to shake things up in life be bold be daring be STYLISH….   Please stop by doubletake my social media driven boutique when you are in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and please share my YouTube channel with your friends.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Burgundy velvet gown by Tadashi and this black with purple trim dress by A.B.S by Allen Schwartz burn up the joint…

I don’t think I have seen a sexier dress than this burgundy velvet gown by Tadashi … well at least not today… This velvet gown tears it up, I mean it is so sexy and chic with the sheer netting sides and backside… this gown is red carpet worthy….Tadashi Shoji was born in Japen and went to Los Angeles Trade Technical School.  There he discovered his passion for fashion design and got the opportunity to help design costumes for music stars such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder & Neil Diamond.  He started his own line of evening gowns & cocktail dresses after seeing that the market lacked special occasion garments for women at affordable prices.  In 1982 upscale retailers Bergdorf Goodman picked up his line and his pieces continue to be sold in various upscale retailers worldwide.   This second gown is designed by A.B.S by Allen Schwartz and it has sassy written all over it.  I love the ruffle trim on this dress, it’s the thing that really set it apart…well that and the purple border.  I swear to you I would slap my clients in either of these dresses just to wear during carpool.   Why not this life is short and sweet so dress for the occasion is what I say…. Allen B top + Alberto Makali top match up nicely with this Womyn skirt…

Both of these STYLISH tops look amazing with this green cotton Womyn skirt so lets break it all down…  The first blouse is by Allen B by Allen Schwartz and it’s layered construction makes this top extremely sassy.  I know it screams out spring but that’s ok with me because you could wear this sexy top even in the death of winter simply by wearing your finest Piazza Sempione jacket.  The second top is by Alberto Makali and this abstract top would have retailed for $152 – $275 which is a very long way from what I paid.  The thing I love about Alberto Makali’s work is a little bit goes a long way and what I always recommend with these printed blouses is to wear a black jacket to tone everything down.  Keep it simple and chic and people will always remember your name…I promise… Now for the skirt I found this simple cotton Womyn skirt that look fabulous with either top… Put your best black tights on underneath this skirt and wear these Pucci heels and I not only promise you that people will remember your name but it will be etched in stone in one of the great pyramids….  All items on my blog are up for sale and please stop by doubletake recycled luxury boutique when you’re in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and please enjoy and share my YouTube channel with your friends.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Gold lace Poleci top with classic Max Mara wool slacks is so simple chic it hurts…

I LOVE finding Poleci….LOVE it…  This label is so over the top yummy I can’t help myself each time I find one of their brilliant creations.  Just look at this gold lace top with rhinestones for that extra zinger and tell me this design team made up of Janice Levin-Krok & Jeffrey Chow can’t kick some serious fashion butt.  This top is like a cat on a hot tin roof.  I found these classic Max Mara wool slacks that complement this gold lace top by Poleci beautifully.  Simple chic is what this ensemble screams out at me or was that the lady in front of me ??  Who can remember but the point here is one doesn’t need to go overboard these days with looking to over the top or made up, stick to simple chic rules of engagement and you’ll always come out smelling like Chanel ( meant to say rose).  All items on blog are up for sale and please stop by doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and as always enjoy my YouTube channel.  Tooldes for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Orange Eskandar top with abstract Lafayette 148 skirt…

I’ll always take Escandar without even asking questions because this label is all about comfort and sophistication.  Teheran born Eskandar Nabavi signature fashion line is made for everyone of all shapes and sizes, using fabrics such as silk and antique linen, Eskandar creates fashionable pieces that are relaxed, play with volume and brings a touch of old world culture to the wearer.  This orange cotton top has comfort written all over it and if his designs are good enough for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman then honey its good enough for me and my clients.  I found this beautifully designed abstract pattern cotton skirt by Lafayette 148 with shades of yellow-white-lime and thought lets throw in orange and make it recipe for STYLE.  I know this ensemble has spring / summer written all over it but those seasons will be here before you can click your heels together in your ruby red slippers.  Please stop by doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Black velvet DVF top with black lace Escada skirt and this outfit looks so STYLISH.

This black lace Escada skirt with the cobalt blue lining has to be 1 of the most beautiful skirts I have ever seen by Escada.  My mouth just dropped when I scored this skirt because immediately I saw the beauty in the details and construction.  Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders brings a breath of fresh air to this fashion house.  Saunders, who in 2007 was nominated by Elle Designer of the Year, will present a 20 piece collection as part of the label’s Resort Line in London & Paris next June 2011.  “The line is about a cool femininity, relaxed chic, modern shapes and colors” said Saunders to WWD.  If his name sounds familiar you might have seen his line in Target or Top Shop.   With this black velvet top by Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) I overheard the Escada lace skirt say “you complete me”!  I would have to agree… If this were a boxing match it would have been over in round 1.  Gorgeous and simple chic is what 2011 is all about so get ready women… All items on my blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake my social media driven boutique when in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and as always enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!
