2 piece sassy Nanette Lepore dress with jacket…

This 2 piece dress suit by Nantette Lepore is so damn cute.  I love the chocolate brown with a pink trim color palette here…LOVE that color combination and it is everything you would expect from Nanette Lepore.  Nanette Lepore was born in Ohio and is a very well known fashion designer based in NYC.  New York Magazine has said that she is “known for her feminine STYLE and fine detailing, Nanette Lepore makes ultra-chic clothes that are the same time easy to wear.”  That just about sums it all up doesn’t it?  When the GODS send me Nanette Lepore I have only 1 policy and that is “to accept all gifts of beauty that come my way”.   This sassy little number would look amazing with these Giuseppe Zanotti heels with silver mesh and since I believe in accepting all gifts of beauty I’ll just wait till the GODS point me in the direction of these heels…  all items on blog are for sale and please tell your friends in Atlanta about doubletake boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and yes of course you can watch my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Michael Stars tee with Basler charcoal velvet jacket with silk Lafayette 148 skirt…

I heard the choir sing when I found this charcoal velvet jacket by Basler and I’m not lying.  This is my very first item I have found by Basler so I’m a plucked flower now…  Basler offers pure and ultra-modern STYLES in supreme quality, their garments exude perfect aesthetics and world class fits.  Basler’s top priorities are outstanding quality, a wealth of optimum STYLE options and clothes that flatter extremely well.  Fashion made by Basler puts the spotlight on the quality conscious and STYLISH woman.  In other words this brand is R$CH…. Underneath this velvet R$CH jacket is a beautiful Michael Stars tee and one very hip silk skirt designed by Edward Wilkerson from Lafayette 148 New York.  This ensemble puts the cha-cha in full throttle.  All items on blog are for sale and please tell all your friends about doubletake boutique in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and watch my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Theory blouse with white Laundry by Shelli Segal skirt and a floral Kay Unger jacket…

I know you can’t see the striped Theory button up blouse very well but take my word this blouse looks like it was tailored fit.  I love a good tailored fit blouse / shirt, in fact very little is as grand as wearing a blouse / shirt that feels like it was tailored for you.  Well maybe a 2 week vacation in Capri is grander …  The thing I really love is if you can score yourself a beautiful blouse for next to nothing my best advice is to take it to your alterations place and have them tailor it for you.  Shouldn’t ever blouse you put on fit you like an Hermes glove?  I think so….  I put the Theory blouse with this white cotton skirt by Laundry by Shelli Segal and topped it off with this spectacular floral print Kay Unger jacket.  I know this ensemble looks like it should attend a garden party but we can always have a garden party in our heads in the dead of winter…  All items are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique next time your in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and as always enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Maria Bianca Nero 2 piece dress with Ferragamo heels…

Los Angeles native, Maria Bianca Nero formally launched her eponymous line in 1998 at her Melrose Avenue Boutique.  6 years earlier in 1992, she had been selling her creations to Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s.  Maria Bianca Nero was a former model and was based in Milan where she had the pleasure to get to know one of Italy’s greatest designer Romeo Gigli.  Inspired by the 40′s & 50′s fashion icons like Audrey Hepburn and Jean Harlow, Maria’s collection gently shapes the classic female figure with the use of her exclusive rights to a satin matte fabric from the early 90′s originally used in bathing suits and girdles.  This 2 piece little number is so hot I can’t put the fire out.  What I think ties this ensemble together nicely are these fairly new Ferragamo heels but then again everything comes together nicely when there is a little Ferragamo in the picture.  All items on blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique the next time you are in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel please..  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Nanette Lepore black top with Trina Turk velvet pleated skirt and vintage Philippe Adec jacket…

Yes I love it when I find Nanette Lepore and Trina Turk but what I really love is finding a vintage piece by Philippe Adec such as this jacket…. At one point Philippe Adec was sold in Neiman Marcus but those days are gone so when I find a Adec jacket that was made in France I get excited.  Please don’t get me wrong I love Nanette Lepore and Trina Turk, these 2 great American designers are STYLISH and progressive all within one scoop.  Just check out the detail work on the black knit top by Lepore and the satin trim work on the velvet pleated Turk skirt and you’ll see just how much these 2 women pay attention to detail.  From top to bottom starting with the Nanette Lepore top and Philippe Adec jacket down to the velvet skirt by Trina Turk, this ensemble is dying for full on attention, and won’t have any problems getting it.  Simple chic once again has struck.    All items on blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique next time you’re in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and indulge yourself with my very informative YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.   Daniel your luxury curator!

Suzi Chin & ABS by Allen Schwartz dresses….

Suzi Chin dresses are feminine and beautiful and there’s a Suzi Chin dress for every occasion, just as there is a Suzi Chin dress that will look great on every woman.  Feeling beautiful and sexy is what makes wearing a Suzi Chin dress all about and this sassy little SC dress I found hits the ball out of the park.  The other dress I found was this black / white ABS by Allen Schwartz strapless cocktail dress.  ABS affordable luxury caters to the contemporary woman’s never ending craving for fashion to wear the latest trends and look fabulous.  Having ample supply of dresses in your closet this season is essential, having the right dress in your closet is mandatory.   All items on blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique when you’re in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and watch my YouTube channel after your nightly news.  Toodles for now.  Daniel

Tahari silk abstract top with Lilly Pulitzer herringbone wool skirt and a good old basic khaki Theory jacket.

This outfit is for the woman on the go, who knows where she is going but she is in motion.  This silk abstract top by Tahari is classic and elegant and looks fantastic with the herringbone pattern pink wool skirt by Lilly Pulitzer.  I love to mix up patterns and then anchor it with a solid jacket such as this khaki Theory one.  This entire ensemble: Tahari silk top, Lilly Pulitzer skirt and Theory jacket all got gobbled up when I slung open the door and pillaged.  Quick simple and tasteful is what a professional thrifter hunts for, throw in a brand name and you cranked it up a notch.  Pulling patterns and mixing fabrics to create an alluring ensemble is what I live for.  All items on blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique next time you are in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and yes please tune nightly to my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Jil Sander top & skirt with Massimo Rebecchi sweater wrap and black Ferragamo heels…

Putting this ensemble together was like going to a Cirque du Soleil performance – exhilarating.  How lucky was I that I not only found 1 Jil Sander item but 2?  Love Jil Sander, always have – always will… this brand is just like Piazza Sempione to me, it only gets better with age.   The black linen Jil Sander top is gorgeous and timeless and the Jil Sander khaki skirt is gorgeous and timeless, in other words you can’t fail by having  Jil Sander in your closet.  If that excitement didn’t do me in you should have seen my face when I pulled out this Massimo Rebecchi sweater wrap.  Massimo Rebecchi began his retail project in 1989 by opening up his stores, in 1997 he became a company and in 1998 he makes his first appearance at the Milan fashion shows.  The Massimo Rebecchi world is born from a strong integration between tradition and innovation.   To put the finishing touches on this ensemble I found these fabulous Ferragamo black suede heels in mint condition, ooh and yes I found this cute little handbag with lucite handles as well.  Who said you can’t get STYLE out of a thrift store obviously never met me.  All items are for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique when you’re in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and yes on my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Cynthia Steffe top with Laundry by Shelli Segal slacks & jacket with new BCBG heels…

This posting is very interesting to me because the first item I found were the black Laundry by Shelli Segal slacks with the peekaboo floral cutouts, click on the image of the photo to see the detail, looked very familiar to me.  I had found these slacks once before and posted my blog about it except the slacks weren’t designed by Laundry the first time but Vivienne Tam….  Yes these slacks are identical to what I had found previously.  Like that famous question what came first the chicken or the egg but in this case Vivienne Tam or Laundry?  Who knocked off who I can’t say but all I can say is that these slacks are gorgeous and chic.  I have a sneaky feeling that knocking off designers is common in this industry ( wink wink).  Knowing that I had seen these slacks once before didn’t stop me from buying them especially when the very next item I found was this Cynthia Steffe sheer top that looks super charged with these Laundry black slacks.  Tying every item up nice and neatly I found this Laundry by Shelli Segal jacket with the satin ribbon tie and these brand new BCBG high heels…  yes you heard me correctly brand new heels… these heels would retail for $275-295…  This is a simple chic elegant ensemble that can go from morning to dusk without a hitch or in the case of these black Laundry slacks a hiccup…  All items on blog are for sale and please stop by doubletake next time you are in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

City DKNY blue top with Trina Turk striped skirt..

All this ensemble needs is your little Jil Sander black jacket and you are good to go.  I always like it when I find City DKNY and this blue top with the velvet trim at bottom is shi shi.  On the bottom of this City DKNY top there are pull tags that allow you to tighten or loosen the waistband, it’s those little touches that make Donna Karen so shi shi.  Speaking of glam I found this Trina Turk striped skirt that looks fantastic with the City DKNY top.  These Elizabeth and James booties add that playful STYLE to this ensemble so grab your Jil Sander black jacket and go out and kick some butt…. 1 simple Neiman Marcus wrap blouse that goes with Womyn & Ferragamo slacks…

I found this incredibly gorgeous wrap cotton blouse by Neiman Marcus made with handkerchief fabric so it’s soft to the 10th degree.  It ties in the back, click on the photo to see the backside of the blouse, and this top is elegant chic.  Wear this top with anything and you’ll be the ‘star’.  I know both of these slacks are a bit on the ‘spring / summer’ side of life but when the universe opens its loving arms to you and gives you slacks by Womyn & Ferragamo you just have to accept your fate and enjoy the ride.  Both brands Womyn & Ferragamo are expensive and luxurious and in this case colorful.  This ensemble is definitely worth saving till spring / summer for because I have a sneaky feeling these patterns never go out of STYLE.  All items on my blog are for sale and please stop by my boutique doubletake when in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Gabriele Strehle white top with Giorgio Armani black skirt…

I always get excited when I find a brand for the first time, it’s like going on a blind date with that racing heartbeat…  I found this brand new Gabriele Strehle white camisole originally it was from Bloomingdale’s and then it trickled down to  Marshalls.  The original price tag from Bloomingdale’s was $395… I love how you are able to see this item that originated out of Bloomingdale’s then had a layover at Marshalls and then the final destination,  your local thrift store! The work of Gabriele Strehle is a reflection of her intense engagement in life as she experiences it.  She is passionately devoted to uncompromising quality both in terms of material and idea.  I found this gorgeous Giorgio Armani black long skirt that works so beautifully with the white camisole.  Who doesn’t LOVE finding an Armani??  I know I can’t stuff enough of it into my closet.  Throw on your favorite jacket and heels and go tear the town up….  All items on my blog are for sale and of course you can always stop by doubletake boutique.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and as always enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!

Diane von Furstenberg white top with Akris multi layered silk skirt….

Is there such a thing as overindulging one’s self??  I sure hope not because if we can’t indulge ourselves here and there then why get out of bed???  With this blog posting I will indulge my clients in chic luxury with this DVF top and silk Akris skirt.  Each time I find a DVF I can’t help but wonder how it got there and who gave up a DVF???  I know women that have their original DVF wrap dress from the 70′s and cherish it even more today so how a DVF item lands in the clutches of a thrift store is beyond my imagination… This white DVF top is in immaculate condition, pristine at it’s finest…I put the white top with this 3 layered silk skirt by Akris, another one of my absolute favorite brands.  The slit up the side of the skirt allows the layers to flow,  revealing layers of patterns and prints this extraordinary skirt offers.  DVF and Akris make the most amazing team, if they were on  The Amazing Race I’m quite sure they would win the prize.. 3 skirts: Nanette Lepore, Theory & Cynthia Steffe with Michael Stars blue tee….

This posting is about how 3 different skirts by 3 different designers can look so STYLISH with 1 Michael Stars t-shirt.  Nanette Lepore, Theory & Cynthia Steffe designed each one of these skirts and each one has a unique cut and fit.  The Nantette Lepore skirt with flower appliques and sequins is hip and chic.  The Theory skirt is streamline and minimal which always works ,think Jil Sander,  and then the Cynthia Steffe with pink flowers and velvet trim work is just so Cynthia Steffe beautiful.  I found this Michael Stars tee under the same roof as I found all 3 skirts and the tee works magically with each skirt.  The wonderful thing about Stars tees are that they play well with others and playing nice these days just means being practical and smart.  I love how the Michael Stars tee looks with each skirt, each ensemble is completely different and diverse.. Throw on that Piazza Sempione clean line jacket and go to the office, lunch, bridge party or yes of course your PTA meeting because you’ll want to be seen looking this STYLISH.. Silver Michael Kors jacket with black velvet Nicole Miller skirt…

Its interesting how things happen in life….  I had found this gorgeous silver baby doll cut Micheal Kors jacket and gushed over the color with my new friend HollyBeth who just happens to be 1 of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.  Yes I use her products and LOVE them because first of all they are organic and secondly they work!  She took me out for homemade hot cocoa and she mentioned that she was going to go get some silver ribbon for some packages and I said “silver ribbon is STYLISH”.  So silver was the word for the day and this silver Kors jacket is not only hot but timeless.  You can wear this silver jacket anywhere / anyplace and feel like the world threw you a party..  I love that feeling…  I found this sultry luscious black silk Nicole Miller velvet skirt and gushed ever more, as if that’s even possible…  I love this ensemble all you need is the perfect camisole underneath and you would be ready for that close up!  All items on my blog are up for sale and please stop by doubletake boutique when you are in Atlanta.  Follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel please.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!
