MaxMara black linen dress with tweed Bernard Zins jacket saucy enough for Jessica Alba….

This gorgeous long black linen MaxMara dress is made in Italy and the tweed Bernard Zins jacket was made in France so right off the top you know you are getting high style.  These 2 countries are known for luxury fashion houses, exceptional quality, fantastic designs both in fashion and furniture and of course culture like no body’s business.  Lets start with the black linen MaxMara long dress made in Italy.  This dress is a classic, it’s something that would carry you for many years to come and all you need to do to keep it updated and modern is wearing the proper shoes & clutch.  The Bernard Zins tweed jacket was made in France and is hands down elegant and sassy.  The French sure know how to design timeless pieces, again another item you could wear year after year never getting dated.  I can’t help myself when I’m thrifting and run across an item that says “made in Italy” or “made in France”.  I’m weak and I can’t help myself.  I just believe that these 2 countries, for the most part, really know how to construct timeless creations, they aren’t about ‘trends’ or ‘what’s hot for the second’.  I do not believe in that psychology either,  it’s narrow minded and shortsighted.  The dress looks fabulous solo but if you needed an extra squeeze of STYLE then I’m really loving it with the jacket for evening.  I found the most perfect heels that would go with this outfit and they are made by Adidas and aren’t available until 10/14/10, they are fashion wedges.  Check the photo to see how modern they look.  Now if I’ve made you want to collect your passport and travel off to one of these countries or both, please travel safe and pack only your best.  If there is any item on my blog you are interested in please email me for price, additional photos and measurements.  Be sure to check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also click and watch my YouTube videos on thrifting.   Toodles for now.  Daniel
