Cashmere Magaschoni top with Ungaro silk skirt and Cole Haan Nike Air are comfortable enough for Anne Hathaway….
I am always walking on air when I find a Magaschoni recycled luxury brand item but when this one turns out to be cashmere, honey I am walking on Cloud 9. It just doesn’t get any better than this really. Magaschoni is a brand they only sell at luxurious department stores such as Neiman Marcus or Saks, rarely at Goodwill or Salvation Army like where this gorgeous piece showed up. Jeffrey Thorpe is the charming designer behind this label and thanks to Jefffrey’s ability to combine luxury and functionality across sportswear and knits, this brand is on fire. This little short sleeve burgundy Magaschoni top with the tiniest front pocket and collarless is so versatile it hurts. I found this light blue & gray 100% silk Ungaro that still had the original Neiman Marcus price sticker of $195.00 on it. I grabbed it not only because of the name and the Neiman Marcus tag but because I really loved the Asian influence I see with this skirt, with the simple and clean line drawings of flowers. It’s so simple and chic that it totally goes with what I tell all my girls “keep it sassy and keep it simple.” Giles Deacon is now the sixth ready to wear designer at Ungaro in the past decade. Mr. Deacon is well liked and well known in England, where he started his business in 2003, and his clothes have a quirky elegance. Ungaro seems to have ample fashion legacy. It has a fancy Paris address and above all, it has a name. To tie everything up in a nice little tight bow I found these denim & leather Cole Haan Nike Air slip ons that drags out the color in the Ungaro skirt nicely. Made with Nike Air technology and leather lined these lightweight rubber soles will carry any woman gracefully over any cloud.
