Piazza Sempione striped pink blouse with Pringle of Scotland white denim capri pants.
It’s a rare occurrence to even find Pringle of Scotland in the thrift store more or less the perfect Summer white color in excellent condition, I’m batting a touch down here! Pringle of Scotland has a unique place in British culture and the international world of luxury fashion knitwear. It is one of the oldest names in the Scottish borders, the birthplace of the British knitwear industry. Founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle it became one of the first luxury knitwear brands in the world. Pringle has been knitting cashmere since the 1870′s and created the term knitwear when a knitted garment was worn as outerwear. This became an instant success and a trend that has lasted to this day. Pringle has been a favorite of the stars and high society since the 1940′s. Original champions of the brand include Jean Simmons, Deborah Kerr, Grace Kelly & Brigitte Bardot. After three centuries of knitwear and GLAMOUR Pringle started a new chapter in 2000 with a new brand vision dedicated to restoring the luxury fashion heritage. Testament to this was the appointment of Clare Waight Keller in 2005 as Pringle’s first creative director. Her collections are now presented during Milan fashion week. Academy award winner Tilda Swinton is the new face for the house. I put this gorgeous pink striped cotton Piazza Sempione sleeveless button up blouse size USA 12 with the white denim capri pants by Pringle of Scotland for a one two Summer punch. These Jean Paul Gaultier flats with a bow made in Italy would look STELLAR with this ensemble.
