BCBG culotte, Theory skirt, Ellen Tracy slacks with vintage Italian clutch.

What I found during this thrifting escapade were a pair of culottes, skirt, slacks and one vintage Italian wicker clutch, it was a busy day.  The BCBG smoky blue culottes size 2 still have the original tag with price of $146.00 just innocently dangling.  Founded in 1989 BCBG by Max Azria  is taking the world by storm.  With critically acclaimed collections, a loyal following of Hollywood’s top celebrities and a strong worldwide presence, this fashion powerhouse has evolved into one of the hottest names in the fashion industry today.  Next item I found was this Theory black skirt size 12 with a long slit that makes this skirt even more stylish and voguish.  Theory continues to evolve and grow its global presence while remaining grounded in its founding principles: a simple design philosophy, clean silhouettes, quality, craftsmanship and fit.  These Ellen Tracy petite 0 wool / rayon slacks are clean line and modern by design.  Today the brand Ellen Tracy is having some financial issues, Neiman Marcus and Saks both used to carried this brand,  today it’s been demoted to Macy’s.   I wonder how does a company that used to a moderately priced brand once sold in these exclusive department stores lose that edge?  Food for thought??  Finally I found this gorgeous vintage Valerie, made in Italy,  wicker clutch trimmed with Lucite.  This clutch can easily go with the culotte, skirt and slacks with the right accessory aka the shoes !  Be sure to check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also enjoy my YouTube videos on thrift store finds.  Toodles for now.  Daniel
