David Meister and Laundry by Shelli Segal can rock it.

I love it when Sloan and Umie join me hunting for luxury brands at the thrift stores, we always have one rock n’ roll day.  When you take a look at both of these dresses you’ll know that rock n’ roll was the flavor of the day.  The first dress I found was this David Meister black and white abstract flower sleeveless dress size 8.  David Meister is an esteemed American designer known for his sophisticated, yet body conscious, women’s wear.  David’s dresses, evening wear and couture red carpet designs have graced the contours of socialites and celebrities.  Alicia Keys, Diane Lane, Fergie, Tina Fey, Elizabeth Hurley and Sharron Stone are just a few.  Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Saks are top venues for David Meister Collection.  The next dress I found was this snake skin print Laundry by Shelli Segal halter dress size 2 with black leather cords that tie around the neck.  This dress has spandex in it so it’s meant to hug the body and make the world think you are a rock n’ roll star.  Sloan and Umie said that both are ‘temptress’ dresses.  Now what I think would look even more rock n’ roll are these Dolce & Gabbana heels with both dresses.  A woman wearing either dress with the D&G heels is a woman who takes everyone hostage, and someone I just might adore.  Stop in a say hi at The Thrifter Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy my YouTube videos on thrifting.  Toodles for now.  Daniel

I found a David Meister dress in a Salvation Army, yesterday. However, it wasn’t in my size so it went back on the rack. I found some Laundry tops for about $3-5 each, but I didn’t get them. This was at another thrift store. I also so a Custo Barcelona tee, but I didn’t get it. I may go back to see if the Custo tee and one of the Laundry tops is still there. *shrug* I wish you were here; I know you’d have scooped them up. One of the Laundry tops had the price tag still on it and it was like $150 or something. I’m not sure why the thrift store had such a low price on it because they will usually put something like that in their “boutique” section with a higher price. *shrug* I’m not complaining. :) I’m always seeing these kinds of things at the thrift stores, especially now that I know what I’m looking for. I have a nook, and I created my own E-book of vintage and modern bridge, better, designer brands. I went to Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Saks, Selfridges, and other sites and grabbed their lists of the designer or nice brands that they carry. It’s pretty handy in the thrift store. Of course, it’s always nice to know quality when you see it and I’ve checked out vintage books that tell you how to spot quality, just in case you’re not familiar with a brand. This is a long post. I’m stopping, now.
