Burberry Burberry and more Burberry.

Believe me when I say this finding 3 pieces of Burberry at the same thrift store is a bit on the odd side.  I mean I do love odd but this is really ODD.  Thomas Burberry opened a small outfitters shop in England in 1856 with a commitment to quality and innovation in fabric and outerwear.  Gabardine, the breathable, weatherproof and tearproof fabric developed by Burberry was introduced in 1880.  Burberry developed the Tielocken the predecessor of the trench coat, which was adopted by British officers during the Boer War.  In 1901 the equestrian knight trademark appeared for the first time accompanied by the Latin word ” Prorsum” meaning forwards.  The Burberry check, registered as a trademark, was introduced as a lining to the trench coat in the 1920′s.  Fast forward to today and Christopher Bailey is now the creative director for the brand.  The total amount I paid for all 3 items was $13.50.  Both skirt are size 8 and the sweater is size large.  Don’t forget to shop at The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook.  Toodles for now.  Daniel
