Bebe with a vintage Nina Ricci.

I never come across Nina Ricci in the thrift stores so you can only imagine my delight.  The house of Nina Ricci is a fashion house that was founded by Maria “Nina” Ricci and her son Robert in Paris in 1932.  Flash forward and Peter Copping is the creative director at the house of Ricci.  Peter Copping worked with Christian Lacroix, Sonia Rykiel, and Marc Jacobs  for 12 years at Louis Vuitton.  With Copping at the helm of the house, the Nina Ricci woman will be at ease with her age and femininity.  She is both sensual and playful, always looks modern, and is armed with a sharp eye for cut, fabric and detailing.  You can tell by the label that this piece is vintage which is just to wonderful for words.  It’s a size 2 knit long skirt and is lined inside.  Best thing about this skirt other than the label itself is the price tag of $3.29.  Shopping onward I find this gorgeous lace black and white diamond pattern sheer Bebe blouse size medium.  The Bebe woman is not defined by how she looks – she is defined by her attitude: assertive, sexy and stylish.  She’s confident and cutting edge, demanding the same cachet from her clothing.  For her, Bebe’s signature look of hip, sophisticated, body conscious fashion is the ultimate expression of her own style.  What I would do with this ensemble is shorten the skirt, giving it a more modern updated cut,  and if by the grace of the gods I could find this Balenciaga belt at the thrift stores well then I would be in heaven ( my idea of heaven is Hermes at 98% off).  This Bebe blouse was priced at $4.29, so for a total of $7.60 I have a gorgeous, classic, and ultra sexy ensemble.   You can dress like you belong to the millionaire club if you have patience and thrift.  Don’t forget to check out The Thrifters Boutique located on top right corner and follow me on Twitter & Facebook.  Toodles for now.  Daniel
