Dunhill & Ferragamo.
Now I have to ask you where in the world can you pick up 2 French cuff mens dress shirts and pay $4.00 each? At the damn thrift store ! To me there isn’t any thing sexier than a nice French cuff dress shirt, well maybe a 75% off sale at a thrift store, but really nothing. Just the fact that you can dress in denim or nice trousers and wear a French cuff shirt and look like a damn million dollar bill, says everything. The first one I found was the Dunhill light blue striped. Alfred Dunhill joined his father’s saddlery business in 1887. Ambitious and inventive, Alfred brought new ideas and following his father’s retirement in 1893 he planned to change the focus of the business to cater exclusively for the pioneering motorist. Today menswear designer Kim Jones is creative director of Dunhill. He has revamped the British luxury goods brands to appeal to a younger customer. The second shirt was a Salvatore Ferragamo again striped pattern, I’m liking the stripes what can I say? Massimiliano Giornetti, the company’s menswear designer, has just taken over the reins on the women’s side. Now retail wise the value on each shirt is in the hundreds of dollars while I paid $8.00 for both. Don’t forget to check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook. Toodles for now. Daniel
