My Theory and Versace.
Umie, Sloan and myself were all over this city, depleting our lovely ozone layer in the mad search for luxury brand items. We don’t always score from time to time, thrifting take alot of patience and luck, it’s everything about timing. Just as we were about to just throw our legs ( I mean hands) up in the air,
we got lucky on our final thrift store stop. Hanging on the lovely hanger was this 2 piece Theory piece, jacket size Medium and slacks size 10, chocolate color cotton suit. Theory is a company, a concept, a philosophy, an aesthetic, a style, and a product. Theory creates the future, it’s about the fit and the fabrics, it’s about feeling sexy and confident in clothing that fits you. Liking what I see and feeling the need to dig a bit deeper I flip through the sweater section and VOILA a luscious Versace V2 black sweater size Medium just appeared before my eyes. The V2 by Versace collection was a joint venture originally between Ermenegildo Zegna and designer Gianni Versace in the 1990′s. My eyes really lite up when I saw that label, I mean who doesn’t love finding Versace especially in a thrift store. It’s like finding the Holy Grail for Christ’s sake. I think this is a fabulous ensemble, you could wear the Theory slacks with the Versace sweater during the day and at night when you are dinning at the French Laundry restaurant just throw on the jacket and waltz on over to your table.
