With Summer in full swing can you ever have enough comfortable and STYLISH clothes?  I don’t think so.  I found this entire ensemble all within the walls of the same thrift store and yes you too can find these luxury brands.  I scored this yellow cotton Theory tee shirt that is extra soft and comfy and since it was designed by Theory you know it was designed for comfort.  Minutes later as I was walking through the slack section in the thrift store I plucked these white cotton Escada Sport slacks in pristine condition.  Since they are white,  I thoroughly inspected and found no flaws.  I can honestly tell you these Escada Sport slacks are “flawless”.   Escada recently sold the brand to 33 year old Megha Mittal who actually won the bidding war beating out an offer by Sean Ley, the son of Escada’s founder.  Mitall believes in turning Escada into an affordable luxury label with more daywear, rather than relying on exorbitantly priced red carpet gowns.  Megha Mittal is the daughter-in-law of Lakshmi Mittal, chief executive of Arcelor Mittal, the largest steel company in the world and the 5th richest person in the world.  With those kinds of deep luxurious pockets we can only expect and hope to see world class designs.  This little comfortable outfit I put together -Theory tee & Escada Sport – not only looks sophisticated but when my client wears this ensemble rest assured she’s be standing taller with an arched back !!!  Check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy and share my YouTube videos on thrifting with fellow friends.  Toodles for now.   Daniel

With everyone on the run this summer shouldn’t dressing be easy and fun?  That’s what I’m thinking when I put this ensemble together.  I found 3 gorgeous recycled luxury pieces and wanted to put them together to show that they can be sporty and sexy at the same time.  Lets begin with the black sheer silk Armani Exchange top that is so sexy it really does hurt.  I love Armani Exchange because that brand really does have its finger on the pulse of pop culture, they know what men and women want and give us designs that are modern, fashionable and timeless.  This black silk Armani Exchange will work with anything in your wardrobe and will never go out of STYLE.  I put it with this Trina Turk sporty tan short skirt, very short skirt…. All 3 items,  that just happen to be black,  are all designed by the brightest stars in the fashion world.  The first thing I scored was this ultra sexy Rebecca Beeson tee that would look killer with legging or tight skinny jeans.  Perfect for Summer without doubt.  Fresh, exciting and radiating STYLE, Rebecca’s day to evening contemporary collection is effortlessly fashionable.  She is inspired by gorgeous fashion icons of the past and present, women who pride themselves in being individual, who do not shy from making a statement with their creative yet uncomplicated dress.  I love that about Rebecca Beeson.  The second lovely item I got was from Michael Kors and made in Italy with 100% silk.  Give me anything Michael Kors made in Italy any day, and when you see this brand and the tag says ‘ made in Italy’ in a thrift store BUY IT.  Don’t look back or make eye contact with anyone just head straight to the counter.  The third and final item I found was this gorgeous Tahari jacket in pristine condition.  The sexy and contemporary cut of this jacket is timeless and would look casual chic with the Rebecca Beeson tee or if you needed more of a glammed up look,  wear the Kors silk blouse underneath.  All I know is that I didn’t pay much for these items and yet they look like they just walked out from some high end department store.  All you need to look modern and chic these days is to shop smart and I always recommend hitting the thrift stores.  Check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy and share my YouTube videos I’ve made about thrifting.  Toodles for now.   Daniel

After spending a decent amount of time in the womens jacket section of the thrift store, looking at 100 or more, finally I found this Jil Sander charcoal gray jacket.  This jacket turns out to be BRAND NEW, so you know I did my Daniel Troppy victory dance.  Who doesn’t love Jil Sander and who doesn’t love finding a brand new Jil Sander in the thrift store??  No one.  This lovely jacket made of polyester and silk, made in Germany, has that classic simplistic cut that we all have come to love from this brand.  After I hugged the life right out of this jacket, I walked over to the slack section and starting my journey.  It didn’t take me as long to find this chic Dolce & Gabbana white cotton slacks as it did me to find that Jil Sander jacket.  Listen to me griping about spending all this time in my most favorite place in the world, a thrift store.  I know it’s so not right.   This sophisticated Jil Sander jacket with these fashionable white Dolce & Gabbana slacks make one hell of a team, and since they came right out of the same thrift store you know I didn’t pay much.  Oh the joys of thrifting, let me count the ways….  Check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy my YouTube videos on thrifting.  Toodles for now.   Daniel

This BCBG size XS has really amped up the sexy and the woman who wears this dress will definitely cause some kind of commotion.  This dress is so cute and sassy and since it came right out of the thrift store you know I didn’t have to break my bank.  This is the ultimate plus about shopping in thrift stores because you can literally walk right now with a dress this STYLISH and spend under $5.  The other day I was at a big outlet mall with my family and as I walk around my brother kept asking me if I needed anything and I replied ‘everything I need is inside a thrift store not inside a outlet mall.’  It’s amazing just how much money people spend to look STYLISH when all you need is some time and patience and of course one hell of a thrift store.  Ok I’m getting back to my posting…  Within the same store I found both the Michael Stars black tee and Eileen Fisher black nylon & spandex jacket that I think look fabuloso !  I tell everybody, men and women, get some Michael Stars tee shirts, you’ll thank me later.  This Eileen Fisher black jacket and the Michael Stars tee would look amazing with these Juicy Couture overdye black legging.  Someone asked Eileen Fisher what advice she could give someone starting up a business and she said, ‘be open and follow your instincts.’  Doesn’t that apply to just about everything in life?  Be open, explore new STYLES & new designers, be bold and check out your local thrift stores ….  Be sure to check out The Thrifters Boutique and please follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy my YouTube videos on thrifting.   Toodles for now.   Daniel

I wasn’t conscious when I was pillaging all these cotton tops but at some level I must have been aware of the fact that these are perfect Summer cotton tops.  One by one my arms were filling up on cotton tops and each one just as modern and classic as the next.  I started off by finding this black short sleeve Rebecca Beeson tee.  It’s comfortable, it’s classic and just overall one good design.  The Juicy Couture green cotton tank flows nicely and that shade of green is perfect for Summer.  The orange tee by James Perse is has a deep plunging neckline, the fabric is an airy vintage cotton that we’re obsessed with.  Finally the periwinkle blue Michael Stars tank is super charged and chic for Summer.  I was filling up my arms with these wonderful cotton tops and noticed that each one was from a different label making each one more diverse than the next.  I got all 4 Summer cotton tops right out of the same thrift store so you know I didn’t pay much for each one or the grand total.  Each piece can be dressed up or casual, it’s totally up to the dresser.  Each top can be worn with the most STYLISH capri pants or leggings.  Update your Summer cotton tops by doing a little thrifting and make some heads turn your direction.  Be sure to check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy and share my YouTube videos on thrifting.  Toodles for now.   Daniel

Paisley never goes out of style.  I know that’s not a news flash, it’s just good old fashion knowledge.  I found this Michael Kors size medium dressy tank top and love the old world charm of the paisley print.  Michael Kors knows exactly how to capture the classics and give them a modern twist and that’s why he is one of America’s hottest fashion designers.  Michael Kors label includes women’s ready to wear, swimwear and accessories, including handbags, small leather goods, belts and shoes, as well as eyewear and timepieces for both men and woman.  In 2009 First Lady Michelle Obama chose a Michael Kors gown for her first official portrait, Mrs. Obama continues to wear Kors on a regular basis.  I also found this BCBG black nylon/cotton jacket inside the same thrift store and thought they would look smashing together.  Check out the detailing in the up close photo of the jacket’s button and stitching, this shows the contemporary edge BCBG is known for.  Individually or as a complete outfit this ensemble looks and feels ‘today’.  This outfit would look spectacular with these Rock & Republic black legging.  Comfortable, stylish, modern and ever so FAB rest assured this garb will have heads turning your direction.  Check out The Thrifters Boutique and follow me on Twitter & Facebook, also please enjoy and share my YouTube videos on thrifting.  Toodles for now.  Daniel
